Benihime Update

I've received a lot of feedback on my Benihime tutorial. Most ask how I created the raised trim around the edge of the hilt. I realized I don't have a picture of what I did, so I just finished adding a diagram of how the hilt is assembled as well as two cut sheets, showing what needs to be cut from what type of wood.

Your Benehime is Awesome.
Probably i will try to make one but using cardboard instead of wood. I'm not good at handling it. Or there is other better material?

@Xiaofang - I use wood, but I know a lot of people have used cardboard to make very good props. Featherweight on Cosplay.com has a number of tutorials on cardboard prop making.

Thank you SO MUCH for the Benihime sword-making tutorial. I'm actually going as Benihime (or what I imagine she'd look like, since we have yet to see her in spirit form) for Halloween, and I was trying to find a detailed tutorial on how to craft an exact replica of the sword... and let me say, yours is dead-on! Again, thank you! (I'll have to send you pictures or something of the finished costume, lol)
